It was my pleasure to observer Dr Misra at Advent Health Hospital. TBH It was the best elective i did in all USA! She taught us everything from which is needed for US residency be it how to take the history, presentation of case, taking SOAP notes, etc. Her ability to give individual focus on every student is noteworthy and also she helps you be a good ethical physician! In fact i was praised in other rotation when i was doing what she told me to do!

Dr. Misra was an outstanding mentor. My rotation with her was incredibly educational. She provided a truly hands-on experience in inpatient neurology and went beyond by guiding us with our presentation skills and ERAS applications. She genuinely cares about her students and is invested in their future success.

I had the privilege of

I had the privilege of rotating with Dr. Misra for a month in inpatient Neurology, and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. Throughout the rotation, Dr. Misra emphasized the development of my clinical skills. Each day, she assigned relevant topics for us to read and present before rounds, which not only
kept me engaged but also helped me integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application. Her approach ensured that we covered all the critical aspects of Neurology. By the end of the rotation, I had gained the confidence to perform a focused and efficient physical examination. As a Neurology Match aspirant, I am certain that this experience will definitely help me during residency.

Dr. Misra has not just

Dr. Misra has not just been a professor for me but also an inspiring mentor. Her commitment to fostering an engaging, inclusive learning environment for her students reflect a deep understanding of her educator’s role beyond the classroom. I’ve also been particularly impressed with her collaborative spirit and the clarity with which she communicates complex ideas, qualities that enhance both her teaching and research contributions. I throughly enjoyed working under her and would recommend it.

I just want to take a moment to sincerely thank you. This was my first rotation in the U.S., and I was understandably a bit tense at the beginning. But working with you completely changed that—you made me feel welcomed, supported, and confident.

Your guidance, encouragement, and kindness truly made a lasting impact. What touched me most was when you said, “I don’t want you to be overlooked.” That level of care and belief in me meant more than I can express. It made me feel seen, valued, and motivated to do my best every day.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from you—not just in clinical medicine, but in the way you treat those around you with empathy and respect. Thank you for everything.

Working with Dr. Subasree Misra has been an incredibly enriching experience. She ensures that we understand each patient’s presentation thoroughly by allowing us to take complete histories and perform physical exams independently before guiding us through case presentations and differential diagnoses. Her attention to detail is exceptional—she reviews every step closely and provides clear, structured teaching throughout. Dr. Misra is also remarkably patient-centered; she takes the time to listen carefully to every concern and explains everything back to the patient in the simplest and most compassionate way. Her dedication to both teaching and patient care has made a lasting impact on my clinical training.
